As many of u kn0w, ive been sick and tired of my old jobs of adminstrative and white collar jobs.. sure its relaxing with high pay.. my style.. but my style is so NOT boring.. zz.. so this time i decided to give a try at blue collar.. thats hw i ended up working at my cousin's heavy vehicle autocare workshop as a makeshift mechanic ^^ I work there 3 days a week.. if i worked there everyday i wld die.. the pay sucks usually.. but.. im on a project based pay by sbs.. so i get good cash.. I get all dirty and grimy and sticky and all sorts.. but.. hey who cares? at least im doing something right? HAHA XD// kk now to show u the window to a whole new world... This is my workplace (camera's on nightmode.. if nt everything wld be dark) This is the office ( i used to work inside, helping my mother with adminstrative stuff.. in the past) This is my department, Bus calipers.. Basically, i take the old calipers and dismantly them for their parts (Hardest part of the job). This sector includes chiselling, hammering, drilling and loads of sweating ^^ Then, as u can see wahla, u get the main spare part, and the sub spare parts which u put into a bag. The remainder, is taken to a dump via forklift, and scrapped for cash ^^(i dun get a cent from this) Then, now I take out this new calipers from the boxes, Jst so u know, 1 caliper without the main spare part weighs approx. about 30-40 kgs.. the main spare part weighs about 10-15 kgs.. Plus the sub spare parts, and everything together.. woot.. hw my back breaks huh? The boxes are thn taken to be sold and recycled (this i get cash from ^^ but.. its measly compared to scrap metal T.T) After greasing and assembling.. wahla.. looks easy? any1 wants.. come n join me ^^~! This are my faithful buddies in th workshop.. this is my favourite hammer in the workshop.. i find it the most balanced and easiest to wield.. middle weight, with short handle approx 5 - 10 kgs.. But the lil devil still kisses my hand from time to time.. ow.. And this baby, the drill here, weighs about 10-15 kgs.. its nt her weight that kills.. its the recoil.. She is a child size drill.. yeah.. lightweight.. I tried her momma on th 1st day at work.. she was 2 - 3 times larger than her.. OMG.. i was shivering after i drilled out th 1st screw.. horrid.. Most people my age drive a Mercedez, a Phantom bike, a SUV or even maybe a van.. well my father drives one of these big boys for now.. I drive this lil cutie... ^^ XD Yeah.. this is me in the office all cleaned up.. no.. im serious ive jst washed up for lunch.. so imagine hw i am when im in the middle of work ^^ Heres.. a helping hand to ur imagination.. Well.. every caliper i complete i get 5 bucks.. on the average i do about 20 per day.. but, if u think that im doin it real slow.. y dun u try?? and oso.. i've got loads of side jobs to do.. example of 1 wld be sweeping the floor.. sweeping THAT floor for dust, dirt or soot.. is like sweeping th beach for sand zz, hw d'ya even think i get that filthy.. lol.. so treasure ur jobs yea? for now..
